Event Details

Hillington Park Innovation Centre, one of the UK's leading Innovation Centres, is delighted to introduce a series of business masterclasses. These events have been created to deliver three key benefits:

a) Hear from industry experts passing on the benefit of their experience.

b) Network with a wide range of companies and individuals.

c) Promote you own business to potential partners and customers.

Each event will contain a formal presentation from a key business expert, a question and answer session, a formal networking opportunity, a chance for one company to present to the attendees on their products and services, lunch and an informal opportunity to network.

The cost to attend these events is £30.00.  A discounted rate of £20.00 is available for clients/tenants of HPIC, AIC, the Atrium, Interactive Scotland, Wellness and Health Innovation and members of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.  Please select the 'members only' ticket to access this discount.       

Marketing - the secrets of a successful marketing strategy

Billions of pounds are spent each year trying to attract and satisfy customers. But why are some companies successful and why do others fail? What are the secrets behind creating a marketing strategy that really works. In our first Master Class Gordon Brown, Managing Director for Circuit Break, gives you insight derived from twenty five years working in sales and marketing for some of the market's most innovative and dynamic companies. 

Biog:

'A chartered marketer, Gordon began his career as a graduate trainee with J Sainsbury before moving to Carling O'Keefe in Toronto, Canada as a Marketing Trainee. 

Upon returning to the UK he took up the position within the export division of the brewer Bass.  

Rising through the ranks within Bass to Director of Brands he was responsible for all the marketing activity for Scotland's largest consumer brand, Tennent's Lager, Scotland's largest alcohol portfolio and the UK wide Tennent's equity range of alcohol brands.        

Gordon then joined e-comsport; a London based sports technology company as a board director in April 2000 and helped take the company through to floatation before returning to Glasgow to set up Circuit Break in 2001.

Circuit Break specialises in marketing strategy, advice and planning for a wide range of clients including stv, Glencairn Crystal and Whyte & Mackay.  For more information on Circuit Break visit - http://www.circuitbreak.co.uk/.

Gordon has a Post Graduate Diploma in management studies and an MBA and had has two crime thrillers published with the latest, 59 Minutes, coming out last Autumn.
